22nd March 2024

A chilly evening in Herringthorpe saw 13 of us head to the track in the hope of improving our fitness. The night’s session consisted of a gentle few laps to warmup then into Neil’s dynamic drill routine kindly led by team captain Adelle. Once we were all sweating and panting we were straight into the workout, 7 lots of:

800m(100m recovery)

200m(100m recovery)

A great session this, differing paces and in the 200’s, a chance to open the legs a bit which we haven’t done much during the cold winter months.

Some of the group did a different workout to suit their fitness program but there were lots of laughs and encouragement around the track as we passed and, as always we started and finished together.

A special shout out to Lisa, one of the amazing Runspiration runners who, having already smashed the parkrun, insisted on stepping out of her comfort zone yet again and coming to track, unsure of what what was in store but 100% willing to give it a go, absolutely amazing.

We think she enjoyed it, well maybe a bit lol

Another great evening with like minded running buddies, with the added bonus of actually starting the session in a bit of daylight after so many long dark nights.

See you all next week!
