On what started out a bright but windy day, Robin Williamson took the short trip to Derbyshire to take part in the Rebrick Foundation Chesterfield 10K. Starting and finishing in Queens Park, the race took in local landmarks including the famous crooked spire.

We asked Robin, how was the race?

“ I missed the North Lincs 10k because of a knee injury so I was careful today and took it steady, walking up the big hills so I was really pleased with my time of 58.31. It was a great event with over 1200 runners”

The race finished in lovely sunshine with a lap of the park in front of cheering supporters and has raised many thousands of pounds for the foundation who’s partners include Ashgate Hospice and Bluebell Wood children’s Hospice.

Another fantastic effort from Robin.
